7 days from central Georgia to the Black Sea

An employee of RIM Adventures picks you up and brings you to the hotel in the old centre of Tbilisi. After the arrival of the group, a briefing is organized at Rustavi International Motopark, where our office is located. During the briefing the participants receive all the necessary papers, information, instructions, and route maps and get acquainted with a guide. After the briefing, the group can check the rented equipment. Then you have some free time.

The ride starts with forest path on the mountain range of the smaller Caucasus. Shortly after the start, we stop at a viewing platform on the shio mgvime monastery complex and enjoy the scenic view. We continue to follow the mountain range. At 16:30 we arrive in Uplistzikhe. An ancient rock- hewn town from the 6th century BC. which at the same time served as a fortress. After short stop in Uplistzikhe, we make our way to Josef Stalin’s hometown Gori. (Optionally, the day can be arranged so that we arrive earlier in Gori and visit the Stalin Museum instead of Uplistzikhe.)

Difficulty level on a 5 point scale: 1-3 Total mileage of the day: 130 km Off-road asphalt ratio (%): 90/10 Hotel: Crystal Bakuriani We start with interesting, prolonged ascent into the mountains, and literally 20 minutes from the city, we find ourselves in the heart of the Trialeti Range, surrounded by mighty mountains. At 12:00 we will descend to the Dzama gorge, which is famous for its monasteries. In this small and beautiful gorge we have more than 40 monasteries. After a picnic by the river, we continue to the ski resort Bakuriani.

We are going to the picturesque lake Tabatskuri, crossing alpine meadows in the vicinity of Bakuriani. The wide gravel road turns in to forest roads that will take us to Aspindza. After lunch, we go further to Akhaltsikhe.

One of the most beautiful riding days of the tour. On the ridges of the Lesser Caucasus at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level, in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park , we reach the resort town Abastumani. Having had a rest and having lunch, we go further to the neighboring Adjara Region, the capital of which is Batumi. By 18:00 we will finish the next beautiful riding day at the Goderdzi ski resort.

The last riding day begins with a stop to the mountain lake “Mtsvane Tba” at an altitude of 2058 meters. After a short photo stop, we go to the remote, mountain villages of upper Adjaria. The open alpine meadows, after lunch, are replaced by tropical forests.At the end of the driving day, we have to ride some protracted descents on the slippery, clay soil along the Turkish border, which will bring us to a place called Keda. From here we will have 40 km along the asphalt road to Batumi, along a beautiful, winding road along the Chorokhi River. By 18:00 we will arrive in the city of Batumi.
